My Mood With Friends is preparing an eight-track collection performed by Ahavah and Lihao. The project brings English and Mandarin songs together through a story of friendship, connection, love, loss, resilience, and renewal.

Our story
Ahavah and Lihao met as international students at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Music became part of their friendship, and they began performing with a larger student band. When that group ended unexpectedly, they were left together in the room prepared for a band photo shoot.
They chose not to surrender the work, friendship, or hope they had already built. My Mood With Friends grew from that decision. Lihao later returned to China and came back to Jerusalem for his MBA graduation. During that summer, they rehearsed, recorded, and filmed a collection of songs meaningful to them.
First Light is the sound of continuing: music carried through distance, change, disappointment, friendship, and renewal.

Short entries from the friendship, production process, cultural exchange, and development of First Light.
Their friendship began around Ahavah’s Pesach table in Jerusalem, where sixteen friends from around the world shared ritual, food, laughter, and conversation late into the night. Lihao stayed afterward to help clean, and a lasting friendship quietly began.
After the six-member band Bliss dismantled unexpectedly, Ahavah and Lihao chose to continue. The next day they began recording the songs they loved, building a new band from friendship, loyalty, respect, and the decision not to be discouraged.
These favorite songs helped Ahavah and Lihao move through relationships, disappointment, healing, and life’s changing understandings. First Light is the moment those experiences can finally be seen with new eyes.
The collection brings English and Mandarin songs together through two friends whose lives now span Israel and China. Each song speaks to the heart while friends and people met along the way fill the wider human story.
Five sets of vocals and five videos were created together in Israel. The remaining work continued between China and Israel through separate recording, direction, online collaboration, and shared research to clear the songs internationally.
A friend from the Hebrew University joined Ahavah and Lihao for one remarkable day of filming across Israel. With equipment, clothing, food, laughter, and trust, three friends created five videos from morning to sunset.

Formal rights-identification and licensing notices for the eight compositions included in First Light have been sent to the publishers, administrators, collective management organizations, and licensing contacts identified during research. Copies of the submitted notices and available transmission or receipt records are maintained by Teshuvah Studios.
Sending a notice does not constitute authorization. Public release remains pending written confirmation of all applicable mechanical or reproduction, synchronization, arrangement, and related permissions. Documentation may be provided upon legitimate request to verified rightsholders or their authorized representatives through support@teshuvahstudios.com.
